Australian Potato Research Program Phase 2

The Australian Potato Research Program Phase 2 (APRP2) was a five-year, $13.8m comprising six projects delivered by 13 organisations in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom. The program addressed various challenges of plant and soil health in the production of processing potatoes.

Scott (then with SED Advisory) partnered with Anne Ramsay of Stenhouse Consulting to manage APRP2 on behalf of Horticulture Innovation Australia. The role involved:

  • Negotiation and ongoing management of individual project contracts;
  • Collation of milestone and final reports;
  • Organisation and running of whole-of-project technical meetings and conferences;
  • Preparation of communication materials;
  • Liaison with the potato extension program;
  • Contribution to the monitoring and evaluation of the program; and
  • Troubleshooting problems.

APRP2 was completed in 2014.
